I recently bought a house which needed a fair bit of work

Was pretty chuffed that I managed to do it all myself, by watching YouTube videos and having a crack.

However I spent so much on tools, equipment, breakages and replacing all the bits where I f**ked up and bodges, along with the money I lost by taking time off work (no holiday pay for freelancers), it probably would've been a lot cheaper to pay for a professional to do it all and they would've no doubt done a much better job!
