My kitchen fitter pointed out

That I'd need to get a chunk of the house rewired and that anyone with a pacemaker (or insulin pump) should give it a wide berth.

Swapped it out for a gas hob instead (close family member has an insulin pump - and being told that it probably be okay so long as she didn't use the hob or get too close in case her *essential* medical device stopped, seemed like something the kitchen designer should, perhaps, have warned me about... Rather than banging on about the free pots and pans they gave you cos your old ones wouldn't work...).
