Why would anyone be surprised at a proposed breakaway?

Football has been taken over by investment speculators. Even if the speculative ownerships did care about true sporting competition (and I don’t think they do) their first priority is to make money. They probably feel that they’ve maximised income from the PL and Chanps League and now need to find another income stream. They’ve f@@@@@d up domestic football and yet many fans just see these type of owners as the norm. Meanwhile we go about it the only sustainable way (and the way football always did attempt to operate) and get criticised by other teams fans including those run by sodding foreign pension funds. It’s bloody madness.
