This year suggests that he can ramp it up given decent service, and possibly has learned from his awful Athens stint.

Who knows? We're not going to be able to afford strikers with a long and proven track record. Which means we'll be looking at players like this one (coming to a good age), Hugill, Soto etc.

We didn't adequately plan for replacing Holt, so hopefully the pukki succession planning is well underway - I'd say we've got another year or two out of him still, but having similar and dissimilar backup will be essential if we're to kick on.
