Daniel Farke addresses the media ahead of Norwich City's Sky Bet Championship clash against Preston North End. Updates to come from 1.15pm.
----------------------------------------------------------------

DF: No, all in all 13 players were called up. I haven’t seen one of them back so far. That is why we pushed training back this afternoon. Tim Krul and Orjan Nyland were playing Tuesday, they travelled back yesterday and arrived late yesterday evening. We also has Andrew Omobamidele got back and Onel Hernandez. However, I can’t confirm if the others are available because they have to return, have a negative test and we have to assess how they feel. So there will be a few late calls.

DF: We don't have too much in the way of news. We have already said that Ben Gibson is ruled out for the season. Lukas Rupp is not avialable and sadly Christoph Zimmermann (hamstring) is not available. He is probably out for four to six weeks so realistically it is the end of the season for him.

DF: I had may say about the EFL decision already (to play Preston) when there was a chance to change it in terms of the integrity of the competition. However, now it is a fact so it is not my topic now. We have to deal with it. We have to focus on how to deal with it and try to get a result.

DF: Right now it is crunch time period and you have to grind out results. We should have won the last game against Blackburn. We had many, many chances, but we won a point and we draw a line under it and we have to try and get as many points as we can from the next eight games. The job is not done yet. We have unbelievable tough games left.

DF: We are more or less safe in the play-off right now, but we have to keep going because we want to finish in the best possible position.

DF: You always feel for a head coach when they part with a club after a really successful time. However, with a new coach there is a feeling of fresh air and they are highly motivated. So I expect they will be a highly motivated team. They will have been concentrated on this game because they only had two players away on international duty.

DF: My biggest concern is about finding enough available players. I am not to worried about our nerves because we have proved before that we are able to lead from the front.

DF: (Germany defeat) Yes, of course my German soul was hurt with this result, but I was not able to watch the game. I hope after this disappointment they can step up.

DF: Sometimes you have to deal with the situation. I believe in my players that they can be competitive tomorrow. When you work long in this business you almost suspect this. Of course I was not over the moon, but I thought for Christoph because we all felt he deserved this opportunity to be there for us with crucial performances in this time. He was the most disappointed person in the dressing room. You have to deal with it and he has to make sure he can return as quick as possible because there is a chance he could be available for the last two games.

DF: I always feel for the players because they want to represent their countries and they fully deserve this. I was hoping for good results but I was also hoping for not too many minutes, because it is tricky with the load and I can't say who was in charge for their countries will be available for tomorrow. That is why we train at 2.30pm this afternoon. I don't want to speak too much about the individual situations but Dimitris Giannoulis was kicking-off at 10.30pm local time, he had a flight black to UK at 6.50am. You can imagine how much he has slept. He players yesterday 90 minutes, travelled back with almost no sleep. So we have to chat to him and see if he is ready to travel with us today to Preston.

DF: We have to wait to see who is available for tomorrow. Who is available to travel with us and who is available to start tomorrow.

DF (Onel Hernandez): He returned back yesterday and was able to train with us. This is the main topic. He returned in good spirits because it was a proud moment for him. We are lucky that it was a good outcome and that he is available for tomorrow.

DF: Adam Idah needs some more time to recover from the surgery. So he is not available for tomorow and not for Huddersfield. It is a similar timeline for Lukas Rupp.

DF: (Christoph Zimmermann) On Monday at the end of the warm up, he felt something in his hamstring. It felt like a little muscle problem so we didn't think it was anything major but it is a problem with his muscle tendon. It is a strange outcome that he will miss the next four to six weeks. I really feel for him and hope he can return soon.

DF (England under-21s): Yes, you learn always. You learn more in the tough times than when things go in your favour. We would have wished for a better outcome but this is football you have to deal with losses and make sure your respond. This is what I have asked them to do now.

DF: When I ask them if they are ready to go they will all say 'yes, I feel fine, I am fresh and ready to go', but we have to wait and see what condition they come back in. We will have some late decisions. It is not like the eight players who were involved on Wednesday will play. I can say that. However, we can't leave all eight out. So we need some smart decisions.
