I agree with Olaf Scholz - it's a complete s**tshow

in the face of vaccine-sceptical populations, this can only drive ultimate uptake down - it looks very much like trying to undermine AZ for political reasons and no other (though some have also suggested commercial reasons - undermine AZ so people go for the for-profit alternatives - I'm not sure that's right, honestly, but nothing would surprise me any more at this point). People will die in consequence of what appears to be naked face-saving. Much of the Continent is on the crest of a third wave right now. So the timing is really s**t too.
