they were banging on about that when we beat them in the playoffs and when we beat them 3-0 last season. "Norwich should beat us they've got a bigger budget".
Well, yes, we have but that's a product of our success rather than being bankrolled by an investor. Go back and 2009 - 2011 Ipswich would have had the bigger budget but spunked it on Roy Keane and his crew of Sunderland reserves and then Paul Jewell. In the same period, Norwich got relegated to league 1, nearly went into admin with £20m odd of debt, got back to back promotions, paid off the debt and have been generally very well managed from relegation to league onwards. Yes there were a couple of blips, most notably McNally's last season and the Moxey season that followed, but compare that to the terrible short focus of most other clubs in the same period.
I really think this is a golden era for a club of our size, it couldn't really be managed any better.
