It’s all gone quiet re this takeover

It looks like Evans has used overseas contacts to create a plausible takeover rumour in order to appease the much suffering fanbase.
All eggs in one basket with Cook, who seems a likeable sort, but then again he is inheriting a squad and club which are rotten from the core.
I can’t foresee a time in the next ten years when we are likely to play them in the league. If the consortium being talked about is a real thing, it’s very unlikely they would invest in the squad beyond promotion to the Championship. They would be in it for profit for the pension fund and the success of the football club would be almost irrelevant alongside the other activities around this sport and leisure development.
Every time the fans think they have Evans pinned down he takes a side step and shows them that he is much brighter than they are. Comedy gold.
