Scum takeover

My reading of the Evans email is not that it's off at all, just that he wants more money. This kind of posturing is entirely normal. All he says is nothing currently acceptable is before him. Key word is currently, implying bung us a few more quid and we're on like Donkey Kong.

Honestly any owner would be better for them than Evans. They don't need to get involved, particularly, just appoint a bunch of people in charge of a bunch of things and put some basic governance in place to help them interact productively. Focus on youth, community, facilities and first team, but all together and now, not "let's try and get up first and then maybe use some of that money on all those other things".

I don't know how the newbies would structure it - is it a debt model? It might well be, which wouldn't be good news for them in some scenarios. But as I say, anything other than Evans is probably essential and though the fans won't get a say they should probably support whatever is done. Newbies need to bring fans as part of the wider community on board early doors of course; but if they're any good they'll hire someone part of whose job that is and hold them accountable for what happens.

At least they can't possibly be asset strippers. Look at their balance sheet. Ain't s**t to strip.
