There's been loads of us rubbing our eyes in disbelief at the table given we've been nothing like as exuberant or thrilling to watch as two seasons back. But that style of play left us getting urinated on from a great height in the Prem.
We conceded 57 goals in 2018/19. Too many to stand a realistic chance of coping at the highest level. This season, we're on track to concede barely more than half that figure - yet we're still dominant, as well as being way smarter and more streetwise.
That has to give us a chance of staying up in the Prem. It's intelligent, controlled passing football... which is essentially what Rodgers' Swansea were. They didn't score tons but defensively, they were pretty sound: massively more so than Rodgers' next team.
Maybe it's hard to get a true assessment because no team anywhere in Europe is playing with the same intensity as in normal, non-pandemic times. There's a palpable lack of edge. But you have to take your hat off to how this club is run and what we're achieving yet again.
We look like winning the league practically in our sleep... but the defensive transformation is such a tribute to Farke. He's learnt all the right lessons and made a virtue out of a necessity. Brilliant stuff - and other than in injury time at the end, we made Brentford look helpless.
