Is that they're basically a passenger without the ball.

No slight on the performers in question but with Todd and Emi and even Vrancic they come right the way back under the half way line to receive the ball and rotate.

You'll even seen see Tood I've particularly noticed will essentially rotate to cover as Skipp carries the ball forward.

Onel had that one lovely drive from the left wing and lay off where Kenny really should have scored but is just so much less involved in the game. He had some sloppy touches and rust but I actually think Onel has looked like he's upping his end product. Used to be a head down into a blind alley and shank a bad shot play but I think in his limited minutes he's looked like setting up goals.

Similar to Kenny should have scored off his drive, Pukki did by way of an Onel run, lay off and Emi deflected shot.

I guess playing a winger means the number 10 needs to do much more and that's been by far out weakest position (through no ones fault) and we're running out of games to see Dowell make it his own. Unless a 2 years older Stiepi or Vrancic is magically going to be considered the amswer every week if we manage to go up.
