Really great article.

For all the criticism Webber gets, just reading (and seeing) how our scouting, coaching and loan systems are set up to bring people through is very, very impressive.

I'd hope, from a succession planning point of view, that we've got people in all the support roles who could step up if Webber leaves and takes a fair few of the direct team with him.

The numbers of players who will actually come through and make it will always be a small proportion - but the tailored approach we're taking seems to be giving players a best chance - and that in turn seems to be helping us to attract and retain some really promising players.

Be interesting to revisit this in 5 years time.
