I’m struggling to imagine Webber ever again pulling off the model of buying gems and farke bringing through youths in the same spectacular way they did two seasons ago. That really was incredible.
The issue then is if we’re taking the Burnley model of going down and coming back up having kept our powder dry, doesn’t that rely on actually hanging on to our best players? Rather than selling them and looking to replace with more relatively cheap players with unfulfilled potential.
I’m feeling slightly lost with what our master strategic plan is at the moment.
