Problem 1 - the PL only allow crumbs to fall to the lower leagues
Problem 2 - the cash in the PL has led to all kind of shysters taking on clubs (Oystons, Winkelman, Gillettes, Glazers). This has created a surge in demand for success - & thus massive increases in wages being offered - that goes all the way down the leagues
Problem 3 - football clubs spend it all. Even a well-run outfit like Norwich has no savings for a rainy day. Nothing set aside for a new stand, training ground updates, or a fallow period without fans. Meanwhile a player can be paid £20k per week to be stuck with the DS.
Problem 3 - Football will not change without disaster. Sadly, we need a couple of big clubs to go pop for football to wake up and be realistic.
And breathe
