Daniel Farke addresses the media ahead of Huddersfield Town v Norwich City. Updates to come from 1.15pm.

DF: It is a bit of a strange situation. It is slightly different with shorter pre-season and then the international break at the start of the season. We had 15 lads on international duty coming back. So it is not that easy, but we are all hoping we have a good start.

DF: You need in this moment fresh blood and that is what we are trying to bring in.

DF: It is a big move for Jamal (Lewis) and congratulations to him. He is one of our own and one of our academy products. It is a good piece of business, but when we were promoted from the Championship last season we had the best left back at this level in Jamal Lewis. However, it is now time for other players to step up.

DF: We still have to play this game with out Sam Bryam, Grant Hanley and Josh Martin. However, no other major injury concerns. .

DF: We are prepared that until the window is closed there is always going to be speculation. I expect this speculation will go on until the window is closed. We are clear in our thoughts that we won't sell anyone unless there is an unbeleivable offer. This is our attitude.

DF: We try to focus as much as possible on football. The players are good characters and I am sure they will not get carried away with any speculation.

DF: No updates on Tom Trybull, Mo Leitner and Josip Drmic. They are training individually or with our under-23 group at the moment but not with the first team.

DF: (On Huddersfield). You can see (Carlos Coberan's) handwriting on the team already. I am impressed that he has managed to bring so much of his philosophy into the hearts of his players in such a short pre-season.

DF: It is is difficult to compare the Championship seasons. The second season, I got the feeling we had a proper group of lads. We had a shakey start, but we had some good performances in that start. This season, there are a lot of new faces. Our reputation will be bigger and because of that the performances our opponents might be more difficult. However, I have a good feeling about this group of players we have got and I am positive about the season.

DF: My blood is already yellow and for that I am keen to bounce back with this club.

DF: We want to create a consistency in this club and the long term project is to become a permament member of the Premier League. I am highly motivated to complete this long term project with this club.

DF: It is the same rest for every team. It is not ideal. It is too short, but it is the same for every club.

DF: I was disappointed we lost (against Luton). We had 15 players on international duty. So it was a tricky situation. We had to play without a lot of our lads. I was disappointed we lost the game. We could have won the game. However, when you are not switched on and you give away a penalty you can lose games at this level.

DF: My message to the Norwich City supporters is 'we will rise again'. We feel an unbelievable unity and backing from our supporters and we stick together. It is a new adventure and we go again. It is important that we stick together and we fight together.

DF: Yes, we can't change the past. It was difficult for us to play at Premier League level, especially after lockdown. We have to attack the new season. It was nice to have a good season. I would have liked to have won the cup game as well. Of course, we want to get points at the first game and that is why we will travel highly motivated to the game on Saturday.

DF: (On being favourites) It doesn't influence us. It maybe influences the performances of the opposition. You don't have any advantage because only a few weeks ago you played in the Premier League. So it doesn't affect us what the other clubs and the bookies think. The truth is on the pitch.

DF: They are not an unknown philosophy. You can already see the Leeds philosophy in the friendlies. The first game is always a little bit unkown but we have a good idea what to expect tactically.
