Some validity in your comments but...

There is an underlying social and cultural bias that having more cricket on free to air TV would help address. I grew up in the grammar school era and we played football, rugby, field hockey and cricket. My mates who went to comprehensive schools just played football. That bias still permeates the school system to this day. Look at countries like India and Parkistan. Their state school systems have no problem fitting cricket into their curriculums.
