New contracts given out after promotion last year

While I could understand the younger talented players been signed up so if they had a good season we could demand bigger transfer fees. I did wonder why we gave some longer contracts as now we have several players that are on decent contracts and look like they need to be moved on.
Hope we won’t have another Naismith issue where they are on big wages but playing the odd u23 game or on loan and we are paying most of their wages
