My personal view is that he’s very neat and tidy on the ball, uses it well in places that don’t hurt the opposition, but isn’t as good at playing passes that really hurt the opposition in key areas. Often the passes are a bit too safe.
The season before, he got into good positions going forward but his finishing was poor. Much better last season.
If he is staying, we’d be building our side around him to an extent, relying on him to do the role emi did for us last time in the championship, and that makes me a bit nervous.
I don’t want to come across as being unduly negative or harsh on him, clearly he’s improved a lot in the last 12 months, and he deserves a lot of credit for that. However, I’m still not quite convinced he’s going to be a premier league star of the future. For that reason, if we got a good offer, I’d take it as I think the cash would be more useful than having Todd.
