yeah, Norwich is great

but imagine if you were a relatively young, rich guy, with no deep connection to the UK, let alone Norwich. There would probably be a lot of other places higher up on your list to live.

It would be like if one of us had a good, well paid job in somewhere like Regensburg in Germany, which you'd been doing for a couple of years. A nice city for sure, and a safe, great place to raise a family. But for a rich thirty year old, the prospect of a last pay day and chance to experience a new culture like Istanbul, with all kinds of things to spend your money on, would be really tempting.

I think the location and lack of glamour of Norwich has been a factor in us really struggling to make good overseas signings over the years.
