I don’t believe for a second that McNally was the one

who pushed for Adams full time. Smacks of a Delia and Michael appointment (like Grant and Gunn). I imagine McNally had a lot less clout after some big mistakes in 13/14.

You’re correct that he deserves a lot more credit though. At his best he was brilliant and completely turned the club around with Bowkett and Lambert.
