Reasonable first half

Vrancic has been really good with his simple but incredibly accurate forward passing. Ridiculous that he has played such a low amount of minutes.

Our goal came from a long ball to Onel, who went on a dribble, before Emi curled one in from the edge of the box. No trying tippy tappy pass our way through a brick wall press. This is the type of flexible play we need to see more of. More direct.

Stiepermann lacks quality at this level, but at least he has a good understanding with the other players around him.

Noticeable that they’ve largely targeted Lewis with their high press, off the ball runs and crossing. Watford have done their tactical homework, but do look poor. No surprise that we conceded from a set piece... again.
