Lots more players in their 'peak' years (late twenties)
I think a lot of people have mistaken 'promise' for better.
Many of our top players from last year had never played regularly even at Champs level.
It's not really a surprise that Tettey and krul have looked more at home in The Prem as they are most familiar with it.
We needed our guys to learn and settle, fast. It didn't happen and the injuries completely scuppered our chances to ease players in and out as needed.
In my view, a number of our players have the potential to be better than the players in the squads you mention.
But in the absence of experience, there'll always be a core of naivety.
