I’m also doubtful they’re prem class, but

I would like to see Farke play to our strengths. Technically and passing ability wise those two are very good. It’s inevitable we will concede goals, but there is the potential for the team to score if set up correctly. Might as well give ourselves a chance by attempting to create a decent number of good goal scoring chances.

Even if they don’t play, adjust accordingly so we don’t keep conceding turnovers in our own half and therefore lots of clear goal scoring chances. Play a bit more direct and cut out the lightweight tippy tappy play. That doesn’t mean you have to go all long ball, but just the width of the pitch more, look for switches, run the channels and find gaps between opposition defences and midfields to play lofted balls into, rather than trying a dozen short passes around a wall of half a dozen players. It’s about balance in play, which we don’t have now and why we’re so easy to beat.

And yes there’s no excuse for this squad playing poorly in the championship.
