I wouldn't want us to stay up on a legal technicality, honestly

Football is played on the pitch, not in a courtroom. We were promoted ahead of plan: we tried, but didn't manage, to recruit adequately and a combination of factors - some in our control, some like the injuries not in our control - have led to us sometimes looking very good but realistically deserving our league position. We'll still start next season stronger than we started last season, and last season we did quite well. No, I'm not taking anything remotely for granted by saying that and we could have a bad season next season.

The wild card is whether or not the season really happens: this no-crowds stuff is a real annoyance at the Prem level but an existential threat lower down the pyramid. What happens on that, I have no idea, honestly.
