Central midfield pairings

As you would expect with a team who have 21 points from 30 games, we've never quite got this right, no particular combo has been extremely successful and due to our injuries the combos have changed too regularly for comfort but in terms of starting combinations:

Trybull & Mclean - 4 games - 0 points
Trybull & Leitner - 4 games - 3 points
Tettey & Mclean - 11 games - 11 points
Tettey & Trybull - 4 games - 4 points (All also had KM playing advanced role)
Trybull & Amadou - 2 games - 1 point
Tettey & Vrancic - 3 games - 2 points
Mclean and Leitner - 2 games - 0 points

Which to me tells you that whatever midfield combo you put out the Tettey needs to be in it. Which in turn begs the question is Farke stupid (I'd suggest not) or did he feel that the complete lack of available centre back cover (now that we've injured all our defensive players again players) meant he had to protect Tettey at the expense of our midfield.
