Most shows are struggling to flow properly without audiences. Ranganation is one of the exceptions, in my view, as that has been pulled together very well.

But delayed laughs just don't work well

Have I got news for you was an example of where it really didn't work for me.

SOS reminded me a bit of Saturday morning TV, like Number 73, for those of you old enough to remember that.

If you compare it to a programme like that, rather than a slick modern production with a live audience, it ain't bad.

And Crouchy will improve over time. He is doing alright as a newbie, in my view.
