Doesn't stop the ravages of old age, sadly

I had appalling astigmatism and had it corrected by laser - at the edge of what they could then treat. It was literally life-changing for me. However as we age presbyopia is a thing and the lasers don't fix that. They can make you a bit short sighted in one eye and a bit long sighted in the other so the brain compensates for a while, though this wasn't an option for me as my astigmatism was so strong.
