There were some great female led bands in the 90s

Which ironically seemed to get splatted by "girl power"...

Then again, I think the likes of throwing muses, pj Harvey, elastica, madder rose, bjork, tori Amos... And so on, have at least partly paved the way for some of the great stuff to come out since.

Etc etc.)
