De facto prime minister

Given the number of ministers (inc the actual PM) throwing themselves under a bus to save him.

Eg Gove. Clearly a v intelligent bloke. Suggests he has also driven to test his eyesight on occasion!?? Wtaf?

They're playing one great big trick on us arent they? Trying to see who can get away with the most unconvincing statement?
