You might just have missed a few subtle points there.

A key government adviser just recovering from 2 weeks isolation for coronavirus and trying to get back to dealing with the national crisis without convalescence or a health check is probably not quite the same as a bog standard teacher being regularly pissed on a Friday night.

But I do see your need to reduce serious issues to the limited horizons you understand.
