In his situation

In Cummings' situation I would have asked my sister - who was the nominated person who might have looked after the toddlers - to come and collect them, rather than taking them myself, thus avoiding putting elderly parents at risk when I was clearly actually (not just theoretically) infectious, and contaminating e.g. petrol pumps on my journey (I assume his car doesn't run on air). I don't for a moment buy his actions as reasonable and I believe the police when they say they spoke to the Cummings family about the unwisdom of his actions.

This is in no way a political post. There are obnoxious narcissists in both main parties (and probably all the other parties too); this just happens to be one of the Tory ones but I'd say exactly the same if someone from the other side had done the same thing.
