Boris boasting about shaking hands with people. Now UK and US have highest (confirmed) death tolls. UK cases jumped from 200,000 to 1.5 million in 9 days before we locked down. How much further ahead might we be if we had locked down like loads of other countries? Difficult decisions and easy to say in hindsight but don't think UK response will be viewed well when this is over compared to other countries. Not politics so much as these leaders just doing a bad job. The Cummings stuff just demonstrates this government's attitude towards stuff like the truth. I imagine there is politics being brought into it in lots of countries but you don't hear much because generally a lot of developed countries seem to have done a decent job of containing it so not much for opposition to criticise.
