I am referring to the fact that the FA Board reportedly agreed that

The premier league clubs should be told at their meeting on Monday that the FA would not sanction any solution that does not involve relegation in the event that the premier league is curtailed and that the clubs therefore need to agree how the table would be settled through “sporting merit” in those circumstances.

Which really is just massively trying to push the premier league into a corner and agree PPG.

I do accept your point that if the premier league resolved to the contrary and presented the FA with a resolution to approve then it may be a different kettle of fish but I still think that if accurately reported that statement by the FA was inappropriate given their decision in relation to the lower levels of the pyramid.
