Yours (hers) is one of the more sensible plans (some thought has been put into self-isolation).
As long as you're all grown adults capable of making a risk-based decision and you're happy with the risk to the newborn, go for it.
If they croak as a result then the guilt is, I assume, somewhat offset by an inheritance.
HMRC could certainly do with the fuel duty (and potential IHT) so it's a tick from me.
You might need to put your house on the market and have an estate agent intermediary, or meet them one at a time in the park, for it all to be legal though (you might still come across a Plod who thinks you may be gaming the system just a tiny little bit).
