Well I suppose it depends what their contract says. If it specifically says

that all games will be played with crowds then maybe they have a point but that would be quite surprising I would say.

You could argue that with no crowds allowed and half the country on lock down and starved of sport then the broadcasters will get much bigger audiences for behind closed doors matches than they otherwise would have.

Ultimately the premier league needs to (and I hope is) play hardball here. With the likes of Amazon waiting in the wings Sky have a lot to lose here if they are not sensible. Their business is almost entirely built on premier league football.
