they key decision they need to take is on relegation

If you're not having relegation, it gives you much more flexibility on Restart in order to find a way of restarting which maximises revenue and maximises player safety. Whether that's differing venues, numbers of subs, squad rules, etc etc. All things that demolish any notion of sporting integrity across the whole season.

If you are having relegation, the focus of Restart must be balancing sporting integrity with safety - which might be an irreconcilable problem.

I find it odd (and implausible) that relegation hasn't yet been discussed between the clubs as it's such a fundamental point that goes to the heart of how you Restart.

I would be surprised if there isn't lots of scenario planning and feasibility studies going on behind the scenes to come up with different ways of doing things. Though I'm surprised that we don't seem to be getting any reports of such alternative scenarios being discussed.

Seems like one big exercise in kicking the can down the road at the moment.
