I don't think they have any serious intention of finishing

If it was just leagues 1 and 2 they would have ditched it already.

As it is I think they are just waiting for the premier league to commit to finishing (thinking that will guarantee relegations) and will then saying they are finishing based on PPG and maybe a 3 game playoff for the third promotion place.
