When the club rolled out the away membership thing it was a bitter pill to have to swallow as because of my sons job we cant simply plan ahead as his work means he often he is called away at short notice and also the away membership was a lottery so effectively we were told we couldnt go to support our club at away games in the prem. Of course, going to away games meant loads more father son time together and thats a very very precious thing to this old man.
It isnt about the football really its far much more than that. Hopefully one day he'll have a son or daughter he can stroll down carrow rd with when i am gone and tell some tales about when he went to wembley with his dad etc
RIP your dad x
you do have those lovely memories to cherish though, my dad wasnt really in to football but he did take me to my first game as a right of passage so can be grateful for that.
Spiffing news about the colonel thanks i dont think theres a great time to endure a frit up like that but lockdown is really not conducive to a particularly great noggin area. Weirdly hard was this new thing of family video chats because we had to be all upbeat and positive when inside we was not so cheery. I hate seeing the lockdown talking heads at home on the news for some reason i will be glad when that s**t is over. And that pre-match pint? Now that really will be the best pint ever.
