Bought a load of the live pots pre lockdown and planted them in a raised bed near the back door/kitchen. Rosemary/thyme/parsley/coriander/
chives
Basil on the kitchen windowsill.
Fresh coriander is ace in curries/Thai food/ramen.
Parsley is lovely in mash or in pasta.
Am less fussed on mucking around grinding up fresh spices, but I have got an absolute shelf full of all manner of stuff. Whole spices and bay are great in steamed rice.
I think it hugely enhances the flavour.
As does a squeeze of fresh lemon/lime/citrus before serving some things.
Feel a bit hungry now...
