seared scallops on cauliflower purée, dressed truffled crab, smoked salmon with fresh salmon pate, rye and wheat sourdough breads with salted butter. Followed by seared tuna steak marinated in fresh lime with fresh asparagus and new potatoes drenched with garlic butter and Italian fresh tomatoes in extra virgin olive oil and sea salt. Then deepest dark chocolate ganache topped with raspberries and cream thick enough to stand a spoon up in. Accompanied by nice pink fizz and Chablis. All for less than a Dominos delivery.
It’s Mum’s birthday and I had to move to hers a couple of days ago with two of my teens due to a domestic crisis involving one of them, despite Covid (I checked with plod that this was kosher and they encouraged me to JFDI). So the least I could do was cook for her.
