Just catering (or "match day pies" as you so disparagingly put it) generates £250k per game. And if we assume a profit-margin of 10% then that is already £100k profit that City have lost.
Plus merchandise profits that have been lost
Plus programme profits that have been lost
Plus parking profits that have been lost
Meanwhile, all the players have been paid, as have the ground staff and others (unless you think the Carrow Rd grass is now 3 ft tall?)
But yes, let's keep ensuring that players get paid in full.
