The irony is that we probably have not suffered through not participating but

and many would say its not before time, the government has got themselves into a right mess by just blatantly lying about why not.

If they had just said that they did not think that participating would help procure more PPE or ventilators quicker, then whilst some would no doubt have disagreed they would have been able to move on. However all these lies have caught up with them.

We've got used to the government lying and most of us turn a blind eye to it a lot of the time but its a bit different when thousands of people are losing their lives.
