Something is better than nothing when you sneeze or cough.
Most masks and coverings are pretty useless at protecting you.
If you are concerned with catching something then a face fitting respirator mask with carbon filters to capture organics. Normally such masks will have several stages.
Also a full face mask will actually prevent you from touching your face which is clearly a major entry point to the body.
