This is a problem with the figures - it is people who died who had coronavirus, rather than people who died due to coronavirus.

Look at Eddie Large, it was reported that he died due to coronvirus - despite that he had previously had a heart transplant and at the time of contracting the virus, was suffering from a number of health problems, including being admitted to hospital with further complications with his heart.

Some of these cases are due to coronavirus, some may have been accelerated by the virus and some will definitely have occurred whether or not they contracted the virus.

This is not only the case with coronavirus - I have know people who have had a stroke and been admitted to hospital with various problems, but the cause of death is pneumonia - due to a virus contracted when their whole body was shutting down.
