mandatory quarantine.
Hancock when asked about it this morning said that in the context of the rate of existing transmission in the UK, they have been advised by the scientists that preventing travel would only have a minimal impact.
But isn't that the point of this f**king lockdown. Isn't that the point with a virus where infection rates grow exponentially? 5 people coming in infected today can easily become 500 people infected a week later and 5,000 people before long.
I really, really do not understand this. I'm no scientists but if the scientists really are advising we should not be preventing entry to the country to anyone other than those being repatriated or essential travel or insisting on mandatory quarantine for those coming in then I think they are talking sh*t.
I know NZ has a lower population density and significantly less people flying into it than the UK has so its much easier for them to put these measures in place but they stopped anyone coming in to the country some time ago and look at their stats.
