I think what Palios is saying just isn’t correct. You can’t

dictate players wages because it’s simply down to what clubs are prepared to pay. The best players are finite and as such it simply comes down to the wealthiest owners as to who pays for that finite resource. If you put a cap on wages then clubs find other ways to pay players more. It’s just basic rules of economics. I don’t like it in football but until you rebalance the money going into the PL from TV rights and redistribute more throughout the leagues then the majority of that cash will end u in the best players pockets. It’s not the fault of footballers it’s the fault of the vast amount of TV money going into the pockets of just 20 clubs which in turn has attracted wealthy foreign owners trying to get on the gravy train.
