Because they earn obscene amounts and aren’t doing anything?

Of course they are not legally obliged to but most people I know who are salaried, not able to fulfill their roles fully and want to avoid being furloughed have taken some sort of temporary pay cut.

That said I have some sympathy with their view that they should not take pay cuts just to help out what are in the most part obscenely wealthy owners. I guess I just hope that this might be a moment where football reflects on how ludicrous the amounts players get paid are and resets itself a little!
