Wire coat hanger

Sqeeze it together to form a long double wire handle with the hanger bit at the end. Unbend the hanger bit into a proder type shape and it will go "round the bend" and can grab hold of bits of paper and s**te with a few wriggles. You may need to wash your hands afterwards and certainly don't lick your fingers.
