I waver between thinking that this is going to modernize legal practice for ever

and that there are too many sociopaths who like having their egos stroked by requiring their minions to be present in the office to boss around / sit there admiring their magnificence.

I would guess (based on stereotypes and some personal acquaintances) that there are also many barristers and judges who are missing the theatrics of a court room too much, too.

But yes, to your point, there is a lot that the legal system ought to be able to continue to do remotely which would speed things up and reduce costs for everybody.
