Mum had a medical problem 3 years ago so I put her on a waiting list with a good care home back then - even checked it out - never believing it wouldnt happen until now. So I'm happy they are good and have had several very good chats about the situation. I think the difference is that I had this long-term relationship rather than picking one pretty well at random. But everything you say is true even so
My other issue is that I've not lived here for 50 years - almost to the day. Dont know a soul here and no support network - its all back in Norwich 3 hours away.
